Huawei has unveiled two new MediaPad tablets on its official website. These consists of the larger MediaPad T3, an 8-inch tablet, and the MediaPad T3 7, a smaller and less powerful version of the tablet. First, the  is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC (clocked at 1.4 GHz), along with an Adreno 308 as its GPU and an integrated X6 LTE Modem. An 8-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display fills the front of Huawei MediaPad T3, which Huawei claims to have a contrast ratio of 800:1. Once released, the Huawei MediaPad T3 will come with Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1 on top. The tablet has a wide suite of wireless connectivity options, with support for 802.11n Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHZ, LTE-FDD, TD-LTE, UMTS, and GSM. The Huawei MediaPad T3 is available in “Space Gray” and “Luxurious Gold” with configurations of 16 or 32GB internal storage, and 2 or 3GB of RAM, along with a 4,800 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the first and most obvious differentiating feature of the Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is its smaller 7-inch screen. The 7-inch display is an IPS panel, with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The Huawei MediaPad T3 7 is powered by a MediaTek MT8127 SoC (clocked at 1.3 GHz), along with an ARM Mali-450 MP4 GPU. Aside from the smaller screen size, the storage options are also substantially smaller for the Huawei MediaPad T3 7, with the tablet available with either 8 or 16GB of internal storage, and either 1 or 2GB of RAM. The Huawei MediaPad T3 7 will also come with an older version of the Android OS, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), overlaid by EMUI 4.1. Likewise, the battery is also substantially smaller on this tablet, coming in at 3,100 mAh. This tablet will be available in either “Space Gray” or “Moonlight Silver”.

Despite substantial differences in the hardware, the set of software features of the two tablets are quite the same, with both tablets having fully customizable user modes where different users can make use of different functions, apps, and content. Which should be of particular use to households that share a tablet between different family members. While there is no clear information regarding the availability of the tablets, prices for Huawei MediaPad T3 had been . The cheapest is a variant of Huawei Mediapad T3 7, which is expected to become available for just €129 in Europe, while the most expensive is the Huawei MediaPad T3 model with LTE connectivity, which is expected to become available priced at €239 in Europe.
