Patrick started out as a systems engineer but fell in love with marketing. This was because of an initial training he received in the United States of America. The transition from engineering to marketing was not an easy one. He says ‘’ the first three months were extremely difficult, but I survived. I even went as far as surpassing my monthly and quarterly targets.”
While performing his job roles ardently and professionally. He came to a conclusion that he wasn’t getting as much recognition as he would have liked. He decided to leave and become his own boss. He made all the necessary plans and prepared to start up his own business. Patrick knew he did not possess the capital or resources to start up a business, therefore he decided he would approach banks for a loan. Unfortunately, he did not receive a positive outcome on that. With only N50000 to his name, he decided he would contact his friends in computer village and have them put him through the business of buying and selling electronics. That was the first step to Don Bosco NG.
The Don BoscoNg store has been active on the Konga platform for over a year, and has recorded over thousands of sales. As CEO of the business, Patrick maintains that online selling has encouraged his desire for freedom. He had always been great with electronics especially apple products and he had really enjoyed marketing. Doing business allows him combine two of the things he loves doing the most and this time he answers only to himself.
Since being on Konga Mall Patrick says “my whole experience has been very encouraging and productive. It has also given me room to establish more business relationships within Nigeria.”
