Executive & Technical Overview
The D-Link NCB-C6UGRYR1-3 is an enterprise-grade, 3-meter (9.84 feet) grey Ethernet patch cable designed for high-density network environments. It operates natively at frequencies up to 250 MHz and fully supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) architectures, balancing durability with high signal integrity.
Structural Architecture & Geometry
- Internal Spline (Cross-Filler): A central star-shaped polyethylene (PE) skeleton physically isolates the four twisted pairs. This reduces Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and prevents mechanical deformation when the cable is bent or pulled.
- Asymmetrical Twist Ratios: Each of the 4 pairs features a unique, staggered lay length (twist density). This structural asymmetry cancels out cross-channel electromagnetic interference.
- Outer Jacket: Composed of high-grade, flame-retardant Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) meeting UL94V-0 safety standards. It offers optimal tensile strength and environmental resistance with a low bend radius.
Metallurgy & Termination Mechanics
- 24 AWG Pure Bare Copper: Built with solid pure copper conductors rather than cheap Copper-Clad Aluminum (CCA). This guarantees low direct-current (DC) loop resistance and prevents signal degradation over the 3-meter run.
- RJ45 Connector Engineering: Features high-impact polycarbonate 8P8C plugs equipped with phosphor bronze contact pins. These pins are plated with a thick 50-micro-inch (50µ") gold layer to resist oxidation and withstand over 750 insertion cycles.
- Anti-Snag Strain Relief: Includes an overmolded polyurethane boot that protects the wire from point-bending. A protective shroud covers the plastic latch to prevent it from snapping off during installation.
