This Universal TCL Remote TV Control is not the original remote but works similarly to the original remote. It is a universal smart television remote control designed to work ONLY on the TCL model brand of televisions.

 

 

 

After installing the batteries (2pcs AAA non-alkaline batteries are needed) in the Smart TCL TV Remote, if all functions work as normal, you can use the remote control directly without setting or programming the remote. If it does not work as it should, you need to set or program the universal smart television remote control for your model of TCL television. See below, the simple 3-step process in setting or programming the universal smart TCL TV remote control.

 

 

 

This for TCL TV has a permanent memory function, no need to be reset when you change the batteries.

 

 

 

Using the Automatic Code Search method for setting or programming:

 

1. Manually put ON your television set. Aim the universal TV remote control to the front of the television.

 

 

 

2. Press and hold the ‘MUTE’ button for about 6 seconds, till the indicator lamp lights, and the remote control will

 

enter into an automatic search state, please pay attention to your television. See if the volume symbol appears on your TV

 

or not, if YES, please release the ‘MUTE’ button immediately, the setting or the programming is finished.

 

 

 

3. Test other function buttons (such as POWER and VOLUME buttons) to see if it works well or not for your model of TCL television. If not, repeat steps 2 and 3, until you find a suitable code for your model of TCL TV remote control.
